Who We Are

Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) at the College of Charleston exists to walk alongside student-athletes and students as they grow in faith, character, and leadership—right here on our campus.

We know college is a formative season. It’s a time of growth, challenge, and big questions. Our heart is to create spaces where students can explore their faith, build meaningful relationships, and learn what it looks like to follow Christ in everyday college life.

What We Do on Campus

  • Weekly Large Group Gatherings

Each week, students from across campus and a variety of sports come together for a large group gathering. These nights include worship, relevant teaching, and time to connect with friends and mentors. It’s a welcoming environment where students can belong, ask questions, and be encouraged.

  • Team Bible Studies

Throughout the week, individual sports teams meet in smaller groups for Bible study. These team gatherings allow students to grow spiritually alongside teammates, building unity and faith within their athletic communities.

  • Student Leadership Development

FCA at the College of Charleston is student-led. Our student leaders meet regularly for training, prayer, and discipleship as they learn how to lead with integrity, serve others well, and live out their faith on campus and on their teams.

  • One-on-One Discipleship

Some of the most meaningful growth happens in everyday moments—over coffee, a meal, or a walk across campus. Our staff and leaders intentionally meet one-on-one with students to invest personally in their faith journeys, offering mentorship, encouragement, and accountability.

  • Retreats Throughout the Year

Each year, we host several retreats designed to give students time away from the busyness of campus life. These retreats provide space for deeper relationships, focused teaching, and spiritual renewal.

Our Heart for Students

At FCA at the College of Charleston, students are known, valued, and supported. We care deeply about who they are becoming—not just as athletes or students, but as people. Our desire is that every student involved would graduate grounded in their faith, prepared to lead, and confident in who God has created them to be.

We’re grateful to partner with families, coaches, and supporters as we invest in the lives of students on the College of Charleston campus.
